Elephant Ears,
Alocasia
spp.
-
The native
'Elephant Ears' Alocasia spp. (pictured), and the introduced Taro are
similarly massive-leafed ground plants.
-
The first are
found along tracks in the region, while the latter tends to be found near
water, such as along the Daintree River.
